Hi all!
I'm happy to share that packages have been leaving Space Penguin Ink, possibly many of them received by now. Please keep an eye out for your order as SPI continues to get these out. More rewards will ship in the next 2-3 weeks until finished.
Thank you again, for your support and patience!! I know the size and scope creep of this project took me through the ringer and the difficulty in finishing made for several delays that you all stuck through for me. Despite it, and especially as the last hardcover I'll ever make (so I can avoid these delays in the future), I'm incredibly proud of how the book turned out, of all the contributors' work, and how it's all the work is showcased. Extremely stoked for this to get into your hands!!

I apologize for the delay in update, but I come with great news! All items are officially at Space Penguin Ink and shipping will begin in about two weeks!

I shared Broadcasting Violence! and Carved Like a Covenant PDFs via Backerkit five days ago! I'm really happy with these smaller zines and how they tie in with THTF. I hope you enjoy them as well!
Drivethru Fulfillment. I still have this on my docket but pushed it back a little. I'm aiming for having this done in the next few weeks.

CHARGING CARDS + LOCKING ORDERS SOON

Hi all! I’m sorry for the delay in the update.
Just so it’s not missed I want to lead with when we are charging cards and locking orders. I’m looking at March 23rd as a good date to lock down orders. If you have any changes you need to make to your address or anything else, please make them before then. Feel free to reach out via Kickstarter or our email [email protected] if you need any delay on locking your order for moving or out of town purposes.
DELIVERY
I am sorry to say we’re looking at April for delivery. Unfortunately, I didn’t seem to catch a break from life and sickness this year. I fell a bit behind on the finishing touches to the zines and sent BV! into editing much later than expected. Once the zines get TKG approval I’ll be able to print turnaround quickly with Printivity who is domestic and usually 12-14 days turnaround.
The Hands That Feed is on its way to Space Penguin Ink now!! We had a good amount of back and forth to make sure it turns out right and I’m stoked to see it soon! I hope to have pictures for you by the end of the month.
Thank you for your continued patience. I’m extremely appreciative of it and am especially happy that we are so close to delivery.
I’m looking forward to the next update where we’ll be on the doorstep of fulfillment.

PDFs Fulfilled!

Thank you for bearing with me on the PDFs! I'm stoked they are delivered and can't wait to hear what you think.
These were sent via DriveThruRPG to the email you use for Kickstarter, and you should have an email from them on behalf of us. Please check "Promotions", "Spam", and any other folder it might get sorted into. We tend to have good luck with DTRPG though. Definitely reach out if you can't find an email!
Please note: emails sent this way from DTRPG can be linked to a DTRPG account even if you use a different email. You just have to make sure you're logged into the account you want The Hands That Feed attached to.
Also please note: It took me a long time to figure out how to keep the PDF smaller while maintaining the quality for the images and textures used in the InDesign file...but I'm really happy with where it landed. We lost some details in a number of pages, mostly slightly blurred dirty halftones, but it was worth avoiding 500MB+ files (and I'm pretty confident I'm mostly noticing things because I was working on this for so long :). Just noting in case you do catch anything that seems a bit off, I want to assure you that the print files are crisp and lovely throughout.

I also want to note that the delay was not TKG's fault. Unfortunately shortly after Christmas my father-in-law was diagnosed with heavy news. My wife was able to spend substantial time over a couple of trips to Omaha to be there for his surgery, complications, and recovery. The bad news is that it's an ongoing issue. Luckily, it's looking like we'll be able to make the drive up about once a month, including next weekend so the kids can finally see him.
The delay to the project was because I chose to prioritize my wife and kids over the past few weeks at the cost of work. Because the health issues remain and we have uncertainty about any ups or downs, I'm going to be pretty careful putting deadlines in general, but for the Hands That Feed, Broadcasted Violence!, Carved Like a Covenant etc for this campaign I don't think we'll have much issue. Luckily, before the awful news I was blazing through a lot of work! The zines and smaller works have been so clean to jump back into and it's much easier to fit in this work since there's far less scope and interconnectivity to worry about.
Current Expectations
We're looking at March delivery! THTF is at our printers now! But, turnaround for hardcovers takes a good number of weeks.
Broadcasted Violence! and Carved Like a Covenant + Other Items. Expect PDFs closer to March. I will be printing these with our favorite US based zine printer, Printivity for quicker turnaround (about 2 weeks) and expect them to arrive before or around the time that The Hands That Feed does.

Hyperlinked PDFs in January* A correction from last update.

I'm sorry for the quick message changing timelines for the hyperlinked PDF. Somehow, even after publishing almost 10 Mothership modules, I always forget that we need license approval before sharing the final product. I had already sent THTF in for approval but neglected the fact that response takes time, and weeks for such a large book in the middle of the holidays, while making the update.
Within days of getting approval I'll hyperlink the PDFs and upload them to Backerkit for download. I'm sorry again, but didn't want to be radio silent about the delay or reasoning.
